the food was great, the personnell lovely, always helpful and friendly, espcially bar staff and the mini club staff. all really lovely. food had a great variety and entetainment at night was good too. some of the enternatiment was better than others, but alsways a great atmosphere. swimming pools were great, but perhaps parts of it needed to be shallower for small kids

The hotel is composed of different apartments which are fully equipped with all sort of things for cooking, sleeping and showering. The staff is very kind, professional, friendly and attentive. They also suggested us what to visit and helped us to book a car to visit the island. If you love quiet is the perfect place but if you want restaurants, surf schools, supermarkets or clubs you can find everything just outside. I recommend to include the breakfast as the choice of food is very wide and you’ll fall in love with the freshly made omelette! I’ll be staying there if I come back to Tenerife, the island of never ending summer!

A Year-Long Party

The undisputed Tenerife party capital, Playa de las Américas is a year-round resort of sun, sand and sizzling nightlife. At the foot of volcanic mountains stretching up to Mount Teide, its long beach is comprised of imported golden sand. Tenerife’s natural beaches – such as that in northern Puerto de la Cruz – are actually black sand.

Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje neighbouring Playa de las Américas also have golden beaches, and all are lapped by warm, turquoise waters. Watersports are a popular activity, and the area boasts Siam Park with its hair-raising waterslides, rapids and a host of swimming pools. There’s even a wave pool where you can surf!

Outdoor pools are also found in the Playa de las Américas accommodation on Booking.com, including 5-star resorts, cheap hotels and self-catering apartments. Aqualand has yet more flumes and pools, as well as a dolphinarium.

Dolphins and whales can also be spotted from boat trips along the coast. Other activities include Golf Las Américas, the Canaries’ largest golf course.

However, it’s what happens after dark that’s the biggest draw. The Patch complex has family-friendly bars with food, while the bars, clubs and casinos of the Starco shopping centre and Verónicas strip only really kick in at after midnight.

    The area is perfect for all ages It is desired by adults for the wonderful view it offers. The long walks with the different terraces that invite you are a dream. The important thing is that the beach is public everywhere and is not private. Accommodations have very good prices. 4-star hotels are around 120 euros per night. For young people there is nightlife with parties on the seashore. Food is for all tastes. - there are higher prices for quality food as well as lower prices. The menu of the day costs 13 euros.

    Hello friends! The hotel is very cool, clean, the staff is friendly, I was with a child, everything was very convenient for me, lots of entertainment for children, cool pools, the beach is nearby, the ocean is nearby, shopping streets, the room is cleaned every day, everything is clean! I recommend!

    Playa Americas has lots of options for various travellers...

    Playa Americas has lots of options for various travellers and for me having been there several times I am talking about the whole area stretching from village of Los Cristianos and to the village of La Caleta. For family people and those who prefer a relaxing atmosphere I highly recommend exactly those two towns on separate ends of the "Playa Americas" area. The area in the middle is if one follows the beach from Los Cristianos, the La Vista beaches besides the main shopping street being mandatory to visit of course. From there on the strip stretches towards Troya beach and the Veronicas where the party nightlife takes place being interesting but not so relaxing at all. From there on is the long strip of Costa Adeje with many beaches and glamorous hotels the prime being Playa del Duque with its posh choping area. At the other end is then La Caleta to me being the nicest place of all with its unique atmosphere and great resturants - so dont skip going there!

    If you are trying to find a place for younger people, it's...

    If you are trying to find a place for younger people, it's the place to go, but be aware that it gets quite dangerous at night. To add, it is full of British people, and you basically don't find anything local, and everything is overpriced. To fully experience Tenerife, I recommend you to stay somewhere else than Playa de las Americas or Costa Adeje.

    A bit far out from the center for me. It was quite. I would probably choose a little closer to the center. The beaches I saw i did not like stoney water was rough. I'm told their are better beaches in the areas.

    Lovely room with own private small plunge pool. Great to cool off after being in the sun too long. Pool bar and restaurant really good value, nice to sit out overlooking the main pool. Even though we were on b&b we were still able to purchase the all inclusive snacks during the day for a small fee which was handy on the first day getting to the hotel late afternoon. Location not too far to Las Americas, 10 minute taxi ride.

    The food is absolutely disgusting, freezing cold.The rooms are dated from the 1950,s.Can hardly stand to shower as bath- tub is so narrow.Towls are worn out and balcony only held on by 2 self tapper screws,not good on the 7th floor unless you got a death wish ,id suggest you don't lean on it !.Decided to move up the road to palm beach hotel which is 100% improvement.Id give this hotel sol tenerife a minus 1 *

    A wonderful hotel by the ocean with a sandy beach. I liked everything very much, if we return to Tenerife, then only to the hotel. There is a small water park for children under 12 years old, it helped me a lot as a mother of three children, because the children were busy. Breakfasts are monotonous, but not bad.

    Central location, all inclusive food and drinks but especially during the Christmas time the bbq and seafood Buffett was very good. There’s also a Turkish sauna. Swimming pools were awesome. There’s a small zoo for kids. Hotel staff were very friendly, especially the restaurant employees.
