Pollenca old town is one of our favourite destinations, unsure why we haven’t been back for nearly 10yrs! It hasn’t changed much, still has a beautiful charm, relaxing atmosphere and wonderful shops and restaurants even during the busy August we just went - it did not feel overcrowded. We took the kids to Puerto Pollenca beach which is fun for tacky souvenirs and all the snacks they love however it is very very different and not recommended if you prefer a relaxing break. Very charming town - pretty streets and squares with plenty of restaurants and shops. In June the town wasn't overrun by tourist and a nice relaxed atmosphere - the waiters and bar personnel were excellent and very friendly throughout.
