A great location for walking alongside the reservoir.
A great location for walking alongside the reservoir. Beautiful views. We also went on a lovely boat trip around the reservoir. Another day we went on a 4 hour excursion in a comfortable 4x4 jeep with a charming and very informative guide to see bison and other wild animals in the mountains. That was amazing. Riano itself is a small pueble, easy to walk around and we ended up eating a lot at Luigis, which had excellent food and a varied menu, also a terrace overlooking the reservoir. Plan your trip and make the most out of it. It’s a beautiful location to start your mountain adventure . There are only two Spar shops, but there are many restaurants and a petrol station. We wouldn't stay for more than one night as there's not too much to do and the bars/restaurants weren't great. One of the nicest restaurants we've ever been to is a short 10 minute drive from town, and it's called Venta de Eslonza. The apartment was good value for money, with a small balcony.
