San Ferrán de ses Roques is a hidden gem in the heart of Formentera, perfect for those who want to discover the island's authentic soul. It’s a welcoming and peaceful village, yet full of life, especially in the evenings when the streets come alive with locals and tourists mingling in bars and restaurants. One of the things I appreciated most is the relaxed and genuine atmosphere. You can find artisan markets here, with local artists displaying their creations, and small cafés where you can stop for a coffee or a beer. San Ferrán has preserved its authenticity, far from mass tourism, offering a much more laid-back experience compared to the busier areas of the island. As for the food, the village restaurants serve delicious dishes, many based on fresh seafood and local products. I highly recommend trying the tapas at one of the traditional restaurants: simple yet flavorful, they’ll make you feel like a true islander. Additionally, its central location makes San Ferrán an ideal base for exploring Formentera: within a few minutes by scooter or bike, you can reach the most beautiful beaches and interesting spots on the island.
