    The whole area is picturesque with the ancient bridge spanning the river. There is a tranquil square to enjoy refreshments and enough restaurants. Since we had eaten ‘Spanish’ we opted for a pizza; recommended restaurant there.

    We were welcomed by Olga's son Marc and it was great that both spoke English. Marc helped with our heavy luggage. Olga gave great advice on places of interest and was always available via text. The apartment is light and bright. It is also nice to see so many renovations happening in the town. The apartment has a lovely view of the clock tower and mountains and was an easy walk to everything. It was also easy to hike in the beautiful forests all around. We loved our visit to Sant Joan de les Abadesses!!

    The hotel is new and an impressive renovation of an old church and the location is amazing on top of the hill. The staff were very friendly and accommodated all of our requests. The casual dinner menu was a selection of typical Spanish local food, which was perfect for us. The room was very clean and comfortable.

    Impressive interior design. Our bedroom had a seating area where you could watch the robot lawnmower and enjoy the view. There was a very good breakfast and dinner was wholesome and not expensive. We loved the pool area. The hotel is on signed cycle/walking routes. Lovely building and setting.
