The apartment is in a perfect location - in the middle of the town. This makes it easy to visit nearby cafes, the beach, playgrounds, as well as to leave by car to explore other Tenerife locations. It is located on the 3rd floor and has a balcony, that provides views to both the ocean and the mountains. The place has two bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen and a living room. The communication with the host was very easy and all the questions were answered extremely quickly - both before and during the trip.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike! My daughter and I spent two wonderful weeks in the apartment. There is everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is very clean. There is a utility room with washing machine and two balconies. The lift is an added bonus if climbing stairs is an issue. The owner, Eleonora, welcomes you on arrival and is very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to return. Thank you so much.

San Juan is an unspoiled, low-tourist destination. This two-bedroom flat is at the high end of town, close to the Altessa supermarket. It is north facing, so shaded, which is important in the summer when the heat becomes too much. The flat is beautifully appointed, spacious, has two entrances including a private back door. There are locals' restaurants nearby (and tourist ones in easy reach) plus easy on-street parking. Most of all, the hostess, Eleanora, is superbly accommodating and kind. She genuinely cares for the well being of her residents. Highly recommended.

I loved the apartment's location and authenticity- it really gives you a glimpse of everyday life in Tenerife. Not touristy, a real quiet street where you meet the neighbors and can enjoy a mountain view from the balcony. Within walking distance from shops, restaurants, and seaside promenade, a swimming beach, and multiple outdoor gyms. BIG bonus points for drinking water tap in the kitchen, spacious breakfast counter, a large selection of beach toys, and parking space in garage.

    A lovely, clean and very quiet town.

    A lovely, clean and very quiet town. Spanish bars and cafes with Spanish families. Very low key, no loud music, no nightclubs, just lovely sea views, sunshine and a relaxed atmosphere. The seafood is exceptional and reasonably priced as are the pizzas. Beach is pebbles and volcanic so jelly shoes advised. The place closes down at midnight, unusual for Spain. We were up early to scuba dive, so a good sleep was welcome. Loved it.

    Sunny small town with beautiful spots for walk and swim. Not that crowded like other ones in Southern Tenerife - but still enough restaurants and coffees to have a choice. Even without the car easy connections with the bigger towns by buses.

    Playa San Juan is one of the few authentic towns on the West...

    Playa San Juan is one of the few authentic towns on the West coast of Tenerife. There are local inhabitants, both Spaniards and Italians. However, the beach is not great. Nonetheless, given the pricing, I can recommend Playa San Juan both as a base for going to better beaches, and as a base for mountaineering (it is close to Teno Mountains, and very close to the road leading to Teide Volcano).

    Nice little town with some lovely cafes and restaurants. The beach is black sand, but pleasant and safe. Easy walk along the sea front to the next town. The path is a little bit up and down after the tarred section. There are two decent sized supermarkets and a few smaller deli type shops. Easy to get to other locations by car. We didn't try public transport. Whale watching with the Marine team was great. No added frills, and only 8 on the boat. A trip to El Tiede is also worth it including the cable car trip.

    Lovely village to stay if you want a nice relaxing holiday , always plenty of places to eat and good transport links to places from Los gigantes yes to Los Cristianos !! Only disappointment was no sun loungers on beach this year 👍

    Not too big so not as busy as the more popular locations. Masala restaurant is excellent and overlooking the sea. The Italian restaurant at the top of the square is well worth a visit, food amazing. Playa San a juan is easy to get around, no taxi needed.
