Wonderful resort town, full of life, nice hotels and restaurants, beautiful beach, gorgeous views, it is a must to visit the other beaches from the area. People are very nice and friendly, the food was delicious, we couldn't ask for more (it's true the weather helped a lot, 30 degress Celsius are not that common in the area, but we booked with 2 days ahead, when we've seen the forecast).Guest review byViorelhoPortugal - 6.0
It seems like nearly every other Spanish beach town.
It seems like nearly every other Spanish beach town. There is an overly-crowded beach in the center with an equally-crowded promenade around it. Once you get a little ways outside the city the beaches are much better and mainly just have locals escaping the "gringos asados" like me. The town is busy and it looks like there is a lot to do. If you like crowds, then you'll love the weekends during the summer. Traffic was a bit nuts on the weekend. Honestly, with so many other amazing places just a few kilometers away, it doesn't make a ton of sense to stay in Sanxenxo unless you really need conveniences like spas and motos de agua rentals.
