Beautifully restaured house , impeccably decorated rooms. The town is very quiet, which made for restful sleep. We are walking the Camino de Santiago and staying here was a "Real" treat. The hostess was friendly and helpful.

The peace and quiet, the history of how Antonio gave the building some TLC, and the ground itself that the building is on. We enjoyed watching the wildlife and the friendly Magpie who came and sat on my shoulder and shared a biscuit with me. We loved the owls flying over at night, such a pleasure to watch while sitting under a tree. We also liked Antonio who seems to get a bad rap, he was friendly, informative and although he sold us the most expensive items on his menu, along with the most expensive wine we enjoyed it all (and to be fair, you can always say no and choose something cheaper if you wish, but we asked for recommendations and he gave them) along with the story that went with it, we liked the map of the area and the details he explained to us. The food was delightful and we really loved the steak and the ragu - thanks Antonio, we will return on our next trip to the North!

This converted convent is in the beautiful Duero Valley and has its own vineyard and a spa.

The host Martin was very attentive & an absolute delight. He doesn't speak a word of English but we communicated through Google Translate & there was absolutely no problem...in fact it was quite hysterical at times. Martin's place is small & intimate perfectly suited for lone travels & couples alike. Martin is a great cook, the food & wine is s excellent. I will be doing this journey through Spain again in the future & will definitely be staying there again.

If you find yourself in the Salamanca or Zamora areas, you should stay here. It is like an oasis. Good location-small town. Definitely rural. The owner/manager was very gracious. The food is excellent-restuarant attached. The rooms are very adequate. The setting is the strongest asset. Be sure to catch the sunset from a nearby "pico" Easy walk from the hotel. Very impressive what the owner has done. There is no place like this for miles around.
