The place is so beautiful so special and magical. Super clean. We arrived only for one night and I realised that I want to stay there for at least three days... There are a lot of hiking possibilities in the area. The hosts were very pleasant and helped us find good routes for us. Breakfast was perfect. Amazing place.

Everything was just great, on first floor with handy lift from reception, great room, very comfy bed, good shower, hot water, tea and coffee making facilities, and sweets. Staff were very friendly but not intrusive, service and food in the bar/restaurant downstairs was very good, drink prices really cheap, all in all i would have no hesitation in returning to or recommending this Posada.

It’s a cute building in a quiet village with a great restaurant and a lovely outdoor pool (seasonal). It is family run and they are friendly, especially if you try to speak Spanish. We really enjoyed the very high quality food and local wine. The breakfast is simple with good coffee.

    If you want to be relax and enjoy a walk on the country side among cows ,sheep and goats ,go to the river or buy cheese and have a drink at a local bar or go to the small country market and get your groceries. Have a good night sleep and wake up in the morning and drive to San Sebastian de Garabandal and visit the Santuary of the Virgin Mary then Sopena is the place to stay.
