    Actually Soto del Barco is a very tiny village.

    Actually Soto del Barco is a very tiny village. There is a paved path leading to a "castle" which is very amenable (the path, the castle is private), and then you can walk 2km to the beach of Los Quebrantos, which is splendid. The walk is by the road (so no risk at all). The views from the hotel "Palacio de la Magdalena" are totally world-class. And the cook there is great. Book your table in advance.

    Very friendly host and owner. More like being invited to his home than a hotel. Best bed i slept in for 3 weeks. He also prepared and excellent breakfast for me even if i was the only guest. I will be back
