I only picked La Zubia because it was on my way between Malaga and Valencia. I hade landed the same day after a night flight. For me it was different as I needed accomodation for my parents near to granada hospital, this little suburb is a perfect spot as its easy to get to granada and the hustle and bustle but la zubia itself is lovely and quiet and a great escape yet still with all the amenities you need, banks, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, opticions etc,, so ideal really! La Zubia can be considered a “dormitory” town for Granada city, located just 15 minutes’ drive away at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains in the National park. It is a pleasant and clean town with a welcoming atmosphere. El Balcon de las Nieves hotel is a converted family home in the upmarket area of Cumbres Verdes, above La Zubia town.
