Lovely little town.
Lovely little town. The zoo is definitely the main attraction but the ZipLine park is also fantastic. Our little kids loves the zoo and it was very well designed (bathrooms on the “track”, little wagons to pull the children in if they get tired. Near by there is also the Tuurin Kyläkauppa which was a fun place for the day. There are also nice nature paths and walks quite close to the center and the lakes have the possibility to rent boats and or balance boards.Guest review byIlona-ElizabethFinland - 8.0
We really only saw the zoo and stayed overnight.
We really only saw the zoo and stayed overnight. Pandas were so amazing to see. Zoo itself is nice and spread out over the whole reserve so an enjoyable 3-4 km walk. Good facilities in Ähtäri township for shopping or general life needs.Guest review byGeoff UtbergFinland - 8.0
Ähtäri zoo is not like the real zoo, its more like wooden...
Ähtäri zoo is not like the real zoo, its more like wooden park where live average animals of the region, plus Panda which we wanted to see most, she was sleeping I will not come herw again and as by me that price 36eur is toooo high to pay for walking in the woodGuest review byJannyFinland
