Where Countryside and the Capital Meet

The green and fast developing city of Espoo is located on the shores of the Gulf of Finland. It is a popular, tranquil and laid back location for travellers visiting Helsinki.

    We stayed in Espoo for one night,then stayed four in Helsinki. It was the best way of enjoying the snow (being Irish it is a novelty )and enjoying the peaceful forest surrounding the hotel. It was a great start to our christmas break before going into the city. It was magical and I did a morning hike around the grounds of the hotel. My sons and I loved it.

    Espoo is the most prosperous and safest area in Finland. The reason for that is that 40% of Espoo's population has a university degree. The best area of the city is by the sea in the middle of nature.

    Absolute gem of a hotel, located in the perfect place between Helsinki and Espoo. Our room and the island views were stunning, we loved the variety of breakfast options and even booked a table for dinner in Plats. We loved the glass sauna, swimming pool, option to sea dip and our 7 year old absolutely loved it all too. We can’t wait to come back, we love Finland and want to make this an annual stay.

    The hotel was very comfortable without feeling pretentious. Breakfast had a great variety and was of excellent quality, with just the right amount of choice. The décor made me feel welcome and at ease throughout my stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. The location was ideal for me — only a 10-minute walk to Laurea University.
