Absolutely beautiful. We stayed in Cabin 31. Comfortable and furnished in good style. The big window facade with a view into the forest is amazing. All very clean. The little kitchen in the cabin is well equipped to cook small meals. Supermarktet is around the corner. Cheap and very good breakfast is available in Tundrea restaurant. Parking directly in front of the cabin. Totally recommended.

I love how really nice the staff are. They even gave me a Christmas gift when I checked in. The location is a few kilometres from the main road of the village, but that made it more appealing for me because it was in a nice and quiet area. It is in between some of the larger cabins, but it did not feel crowded at all. The facilities inside the cabin are more than enough for me, and it met all my needs. It felt really cosy inside the cabin.

The cottage was very spacious and beautifully furnished with all the needed equipment. The view over the lake is spectacular and the sauna has a very special design. We were positively surprised to see how much we got for the money. We also went on a snowmobile safari with the host Mika, which was one of the best travel experiences we ever had.

    Kilpisjärvi in winter is a magical experience. The village is located in the far north of Finland, in the heart of Lapland. It is a popular destination for winter activities such as skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. The area is also known for its stunning scenery, with snow-covered forests, frozen lakes, and the majestic Saana fell. One of the highlights of a winter trip to Kilpisjärvi is the opportunity to see the Northern Lights. The village is located in an area with minimal light pollution, making it an ideal place to view this natural phenomenon. The Northern Lights can be seen on clear nights throughout the winter, but the best time to see them is during the darkest months of December and January. Kilpisjärvi is also a great place to experience the Sami culture. The Sami are the indigenous people of Lapland, and they have a rich history and culture.     Hiking trails are well signposted.

    Hiking trails are well signposted. The supermarket at the center is very good. Public transport connections could be better but the twice-daily bus to/from Rovaniemi is very reliable. Tour operators organize day tours to the Acrtic Sea in Norway. They sound good but unfortunately were cancelled in summer 2021 due to the covid crap.

    What a lovely cabin a bit outside of Kilpisjärvi! The cabin is located on a small hill with a nice view over the fells. Even the cabin is small, you find everything there you need! Kitchen well equipped, modern bathroom, comfortable beds! Even I arrived before check-in time, they made sure I could already pick up the cabin key.

    The inner architecture is a perfect example of finnish aesthetic and sense of harmony with nature. It’s in full adequacy with the surroundings. The sauna was another masterpiece ! The staff absolutly amazing. More than an hotel : a precious, warmful experience : KIITOS.

    Cosy and warm cabin for two. Nearby the Lake Kilpisjärvi and photoshooting locations. Clean and comfy beds. Small kitchen was a great bonus. Parking slot next to the cabin. Breakfast was decent and more than value for the money. 6€ per person.
