Spotless, modern little house with everything you need. Lovely area with the lake nearby. Really appreciated the sauna after a 5 day hike. The fireplace adds a cosy touch. The bikes make it easy to get to and from the main building.

    We booked a guide that we recommend. She took us on an interesting tour about war history in the area, especially the Salpa line. The relationship to Russia and Germany are complicated and interesting. She also showed us a pretty rapid and provided a nice picknick with Finnish snacks.     It's been a long time since my previous visit.

    It's been a long time since my previous visit. Excellent pizza at 'Kotipizza' franchise! And a lovely lunch at Ravintola Talonpöytä. But all the shops and 'outlets' were overpriced and the shops overall were a big dissappointment. Better to concentrate on food and nature!

    The hotel is located in a beautiful wide peaceful lakeside environment. The building is neat and very well kept, and so is the property all around. The quadruple room was fantastic: large, comfy, with a stunning lake view. The cleanliness was excellent, far above the finnish average standards. Breakfast, served in the beautiful main building, was excellent. The staff is kind and welcoming as can be. Price was very fair. It was a pity to stay just 1 night!!

    We visited Kuusamo in February 2025, and stayed at Julia's home. It is very well maintained, spotlessly clean, and has all necessary amenities and more. There is also a reserved car parking spot in the apartment. Julia was a helpful and responsive host. The location is very good, very less light pollution, perfect for star gazing and auroras. It is also easy to get to Oulanka National Park. We loved staying here, and would highly recommend it.
