Larissa was so friendly and accommodating. She greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the villa. We also enjoyed using the pool and Larissa went out of her way to give us extra towels and made us feel very comfortable at her place. We especially loved the cleanliness of the villa and how she had everything in it, self contained and we loved that the bedroom had aircon and fans in every room. She also suggested a great place for breakfast and she also farewelled us when we checked out the next day. Great value for your money, you will not be disappointed.

This is a lovely place to stay. Ana is a great host, and she made us feel very welcome. We loved staying there. From the common area, you can see the bay and the daily visit of a kingfisher. There is an open-air kitchen, and the fridge and kettle are in the room. We also highly recommend Savitri's cooking class.

Everything, it’s basic but comfortable. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortably as possible. Osea’s food cooking was delicious and he has such a good sense of humour! The excursion to the waterfall and visit to the local village was very good and interesting and the rock reef beautiful. I have been left with some special moments. I had a wonderful time at Salt Lake Lodge 😄

We really couldn’t fault this place and rushed home to give a review because we were so blown away! Literally everything about the stay was phenomenal! Grant and Candida have created a stunning property with every detail perfectly executed. The Loft itself is beautiful with high end finishes and is kept in such a great condition. Grant was the best host, he ferried is up and down the hill and from the airport in some rainy conditions and was available for suggestions, snorkelling trips and grocery stops too! He couldn’t do enough for us and we are so thankful we chose Latui Loft for our stay (especially after hearing some stories of other apartments and home stays in the area from people we met in town). Candida was out of town during our stay but was available for every need and want by WhatsApp and gave us lots of suggestions for restaurants, things to do and see. The outdoor shower overlooking the forest is especially magical- really makes you feel part of the surrounding natural landscape every morning! There is also a beautiful outdoor balcony sitting area where we ate breakfast every morning and watched the nature go by!

    Savusavu is a great location for a peaceful holiday, giving to a more traditional Fijian experience with less resorts on the island. The market is a great for self catering or just absorbing the atmosphere, especially early on Sat when the fish market is there too. The people are very friendly and fun to be around, as you walk down the street you are constantly greeted warmly with Bula! Nateway Bay is mostly untouched and an amazing place to see.

    Definitely make the effort to venture across to Savusavu—it’s far more picturesque than Fiji’s main island. Getting around is a breeze: you can hop on local buses, grab a taxi, or simply wave down a friendly local for a ride (just agree on the fare beforehand). The people are incredibly welcoming and helpful—they’ll happily arrange any activity you fancy, and you’ll feel the rich Fijian culture everywhere. We even attended a Sunday singing service in the local church—it was breathtaking to hear the harmonies and feel the community spirit firsthand. One outstanding place to dine is La Dolce Vita Resort, where Chef Michele crafts everything from scratch—each dish melts in your mouth with fresh, local flavors.

    Scruffy little town (and scruffy island) with not a lot for tourists. I have much preferred staying in the Mamanuca Island chain - cuter islands, more of a holiday feel and better snorkelling than what we experienced here. The best thing was watching steam rising off the beach in town at sunset, glowing golden in the late afternoon sun

    We stayed at BougainVilla as I was doing a freediving course with Neelam. Neelam and her partner Tobi are lovely, they picked us up from the airport and took us to the accommodation. The rooms are small but cosy, and have all the amenities required to prepare breakfast or lunch. We decided to go to town to eat dinner each night, and this is a short cab ride away (about $8 FD) but is too far to walk. The place is clean and well maintained, comfortable and comes with a short guide for Savusavu, from taxis to restaurants. Would recommend!

    If Savusavu area is the hidden gem of Fiji, Naveria Heights lodge and the surroundings are the jewel in the crown. A place of breathtaking view amids lush tropical vegetation, it urges you to slow down and embrace life fully. Everything was perfect - the view, the room, the breakfast, the hike in the jungle, the hike to the waterfalls and mud pools.     Perfect spot for a family who likes privacy. The food is fantastic Has an amazing beach which is rare in Savusavu. Great for swimming, snorkeling and diving. You can call a taxi anytime. They are quick to arrive.
