While the area is small on this side of the L'Herault River, there is all you need: Shops for groceries, restaurants, parking for the beach and Hiking Trails. We really went to Agde to see Chateau Laurens, which did not disappoint (if you like art nouveau style, which I do!). So I enjoyed it for that alone, but then Agde turned out to be a small but interesting little town with a long and rich history. There were also plenty of great eating options (even for us vegetarians). Then there were the beaches, not far away, and Cap d'Agde, and plenty of walks. Agde is a beautiful location but it is important to remember...
Agde is a beautiful location but it is important to remember it is contained between 2 rivers so it’s essential to have transport to visit the places you can see from the beach there.
