It was absolutely perfect. Stunning self contained apartment that was fully kitted out. Emmanuel and Marie were the perfect hosts even awaiting us to get a load of washing done overnight.

I would like to thank Stefan and Amanda for being great hosts, the cottage was immaculate, all cooking, utensils, and equipment, along with bed linen and towels were spotless, tea and coffee was provided along with a couple of beers. The cottage is ideal for those who want a quite and relaxing break with it's own private garden and access to spacious parking. The location is great for exploring the surrounding areas such as Ceauce, Saint Fraimbault, Domfront, Mayenne and much more, I would definitely book again but I think when the word gets out about this charming cottage it will be difficult to get booked in, I had a great stay, highly recommended well done Stefan & Amanda😀 Peter

Great location to get around the local area, loveley garden and grounds, the property was full value for money, parking on site, loved the automatic window shutters to keep the rooms cool, the kitchen & dining area had loads of room to socialise whilst cooking!

This property was the perfect venue for our large family to take a break. An oasis in a rustic rural location. Lots of room to accommodate a big family like ours with grandkids included. Everyone loved it. The pool, sauna and hot tub facilities were great. After a day exploring the local area we could chill out in the spa and enjoy drinks on the terrace. Amazing countryside location. The lake was teaming with fish. Watch out for the pike. Our bird app, merlin, registered 26 species of bird life. Some quite rare. We were lucky that the trees were bearing fruits. Oh and the local cider museum was 5 mins cycle ride away, and was fascinating. The cider was great too. The nearby villages were beautiful. Local bakers in Cauce produce the best ever croissants. The town of Lassey les chateaux had everything from supermarket to the the chateaux itself. Within approx 90 mins you have the stunning towns of Caen or St Malo. Steeped in history. Fabulous restaurants. Seafood heaven. We also made a visit to mont St Michel. Whilst we hit the summer peak regards numbers of tourists, it was stunning. Well worth the trip.

    Mayenne is beautiful (we had a share in a family cottage nearby) so we know the area well. Le Mans is not too far away lovely old walled town and pretty shopping lanes to explore. Mayenne has a lovely town square and river where you can sit and soak up the atmosphere. A really pleasant area.
