The staff were exceptionally helpful. Raphael the manager answered several questions before we arrived and he and his assistant were very helpful on arrival and we were also given an early check in which was very useful

The location was great, just a few minutes away from the nice beach at the lake. The sunset was really nice from there. I took a cold bath in the lake and came back to the pool. It was ammmmazing. Also the swimming pool especially the sauna and the cold bath was great. My friend tried the sauna/cold bath for the first time and she also loved it so the cold bath was also not too cold for beginners. The pool area was a bit crowded on Saturday afternoon but in the morning it was not so occupied. The room was also comfortable and clean. Breakfast was also nice. You can have a nice view of mountains and the lake from the restaurant as well.

    Gorgeous gem of a place - medieval streets of great...

    Gorgeous gem of a place - medieval streets of great character with flowing streams between. The newer parts of town are handsome; there is little motor traffic and everything is well kept. Defo a safe place to be. If you enjoy cycling, Annecy is a cycling town with lots of young children, or deliveries, conveyed by bike. In this respect it’s what every town should aim for. The lake is a wonder: tall, jagged cream coloured mountains behindsun dappled water. The cycle route around it is easy and has several ‘velo cafes’ alongside to restore your energy! (The town contains numerous bike hire shops.) The lake has several swimming places (and a beach at St Jorioz). We visited in perfect weather in mid September and we were surprised at just how busy the old town had become. Definitely a honey trap kind of place.

    Delightful city offering cafes, patisseries to die for, local cuisine, friendly folk, delightful flower boarded canals and tiny passageways....and the lake: Lake Annecy. All make for a memorable, holiday destination.

    Beautiful City with great atmosphere and fantastic facilities including restaurants, shops. Friendly staff. Bus service disappointing from payment perspective as no card facility, but good service timings etc.

    Annecy was absolutely beautiful!

    Annecy was absolutely beautiful! I can see why it is called the Venice of the Alps! You need at least a week to make the most of everything but we only had 3 days. Plenty to do for everyone with the old town, restaurants, lake, cycle paths and beautiful mountains!

    7 Days is too long, the restaurants in the old town close after lunchtime service until the evening and they don’t serve food until 7pm. At lunchtime we couldn’t get a table to have a drink unless we were having food. We were lucky we were staying above the Brasserie des Européens and they continue to serve drinks all afternoon. The Lake is beautiful the scenery is amazing. A few things could have been better.

    The 'Old Town' is why most people go there however two 80 + fit pensioners doing over 12k (each) steps was very enjoyable if somewhat tiring. Plenty of places to eat, rather too many outlets selling 'the usual tripper' 'Tat' - But that has to be expected in this day and age - you don't HAVE to buy it ! Boy are they 'raking the money in' on the boat trips ! ... but really enjoyable and relaxing after the walking. Just do it !

    The staff were so friendly, the hotel is beautiful and location perfect. I look forward to returning again. We used Hebe's electric bicycles to reach Lake Annecy in 5 minutes. Breakfast was delicious. Wifi is speedy. Parking is 1 minute away and even subsidised. Hebe really is the perfect boutique hotel. When you don't need a spa or conference facilities. Just a warm welcome, stylish interior design, a comfy bed and everything on your doorstep... Oh and it is all at a very reasonable price!

    A key reason for staying at the property was the fact that it had a number of electric vehicle charging points (11kwh). This was ideal for us having driven down from the UK over the long Easter weekend. The staff were helpful upon check in and gave us some good advice about how best to get into old town Annecy and then back to the hotel later in the evening as it is all uphill from old town back to the hotel.

    The hotel is in a good location within easy walking distance of Lake Annecy and the Old Town. We were given a room with a mezzanine and a lake view which was perfect for us . Clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly & helpful . Great breakfast and lovely to have use of the Pool too . I would happily stay at Le Pelican again !
