Very helpful and pleasant staff. Excellent buffet style evening meal with plenty of choice including for vegetarians, not that usual in France. Nice room on 1st floor with lift as well as stairs. Good breakfast

Little hard to reach on our motorcycles due to the gravel road, but the venue, location and especially the hosts made it all worth the difficulties!!! We where really impressed and will return definately!

We had a lovely time in a deeply rural setting. Our hosts were charming and friendly. The home cooked meal was delicious and not expensive. I would thoroughly recommend Le Clos Marie to anyone who would like to experience rural french hospitality

This is SUCH a lovely property.... I stayed here at the beginning of the month whilst on an 8-week European motor-cycle tour. This old farmhouse and buildings have been carefully renovated to a fantastic standard by host, Phil, who has created a really lovely and quirky residence, whilst Eva, the hostess, does a fabulous job of keeping everywhere immaculate. There are 3 rooms, two of which are upstairs and accessed via a fabulous spiral staircase, and a further room (the ‘garden room’) which as the name suggests, is off the garden on the ground floor. Eva is fluent in many languages which meant that chatting with her was easy and interesting, we talked for hours! The garden is delightful with a terrace where you can sit, eat, read etc. with a fabulous outlook over the garden where Archie, the Westie, will keep you entertained for hours! I had a lovely room with 2 single beds, mine was wonderfully comfortable with pristine quality bedding and Eva was accommodating to my breakfast requests which was lovely. Undercover parking for my bike was much appreciated. All in all, everywhere was perfect for me, my one-night stay was reasonably priced, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the 5* establishment. Thank you Eva and Phil for a memorable stay 😊

Our one week stay in Cerdon was wonderful. The village has a long and moving history, with a nice museum and wineries to tell about it. There is a lot to do in the surrounding area, with beautiful lakes, activities and caves. The apartment is freshly renovated with good taste for detail. The view from the balcony is stunning, the sound from the river relaxing. Great quality/price balance. Better than on the pictures. The owner was very friendly and welcoming.
