Lovely calm atmosphere in a wonderful setting. Friendly, helpful host with good English (our French is lacking). We used the charming shared kitchen area to prepare some evening food. Breakfast is homemade and tasty. Great value for money.

Such a wonderful stay . The hotel was an absolute delight in every aspect . The owners are both so welcoming , the hotel is spotless , the tapas supper on the balcony was delicious, breakfast was perfect . The total peace and quiet of the location is unbeatable. Very responsive host even with a late booking. Huge bedroom! There was a safe place to leave my bicycle. The hosts lent me some tools to fix my bicycle, which was very kind of them. Breakfast was excellent!

Very charming place, lovely host. It feels like a home with rooms more than a hotel. Great food too - fresh, local produce. And they have a lovely stream at the back for cooling feet and legs after a day's walking. I wish we had stayed 2 nights. This would be a fabulous place to take a rest day if you are walking.

    If you want a quiet stay in the Pyrenees with wonderful views and walks this should fit the bill. The hotel is typically Basque of considerable age. It is family run with modern facilities. We always go for the Comfort Rooms which are in a modern wing with views over the mountains. They either have a terrace or balcony with outdoor seating. They allow dogs.

    We loved it at the hotel. We randomly stopped for the last night of drive around the Basque Country and couldn’t have found a nicer place to stay. The setting was beautiful, the staff were great and the food wonderful.

    Nice surprise. A good room with 'patio' doors opening onto a small terrace and great views. The village of Banca is out in the country but the hotel has an excellent restaurant. Good parking immediately outside.
