This property exceeded our expectations. We were cycling along the Loire and needed a place to stay before reaching Nantes. The host was exceptionally kind, the property is nicely decorated, and the rooms were excellent. We were also very satisfied with the breakfast, which the host makes himself. There’s a pizzeria nearby as well, so it’s easy to grab something to eat. All in all, a warm recommendation.

We had such a lovely stay at Chambres d'hôtes Le Griffon 1855, made even more special by the kindness of Eva and her family. They went above and beyond when we arrived with a very sick child, helping in every way possible, which we will never forget. The breakfast was a highlight—beautifully presented with homemade jams and the best scones I’ve ever had, and I only wish we’d had more time to enjoy the gorgeous rose gardens. Would recommend to anyone!

Very nice and cozy little apartment, very easy to find (a bit more than 30min drive from Nantes airport). It's comfortable, very clean, and the owner is very nice and hospitable. A bonus, the little private back garden.

    Barbechat itself is an unremarkable place - just a very nice, clean, friendly and quiet village with a good shop close to the chambre-d'hôte. It was ideal for my purposes because close to a simple crossing of the Loire at Oudun.
