Excellent stay! Located in the charming small town of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, barely 10 minutes by car from the center of Avignon, this hotel offers a calm and relaxing environment. The town itself is walkable and boasts many good restaurants, enhancing the local experience. The town has its own local landmarks, such as Fort Saint-André and the neighbouring Abbey, while remaining close to Avignon’s main historical sites such as the Palais des Papes and Pont d’Avignon. The hotel also features a nice garden with a swimming pool, providing a perfect spot for relaxation. For guests with cars, the hotel provides a secure parking lot which ensures your vehicle is safely parked during your stay. Our room was large and comfortable, equipped with a deep bathtub that made our visit to Avignon more relaxing. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful. In retrospect, staying in this town rather than in the city of Avignon itself was a far better choice, offering a more tranquil and authentic local experience. I recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay while visiting Avignon.

Excellent location for exploring Avignon. Pedestrian area so it is necessary to walk with luggage but it’s not too far from nearest car park (10 mins). Spacious rooms in a beautiful grand house with cool garden at rear. Delightful host.

Truly perfect hotel, very beautiful and peaceful garden, in a delightful village. We slept very well, the room was cleaned properly every day. Parking was excellent. Breakfast was lovely, with little home-made treats and ripe fruit to enjoy every day. The pool was lovely, all in all, a very high class stay. Thank you very much for everything!

    Barbantane is a small town with a castle & town square. There are a few small restaurants, but they seem to be closed on Mondays. If you have transport it’s a good quiet place to stay to visit Avignon.

    Barbentane appears to be a small town with some local shops...

    Barbentane appears to be a small town with some local shops and services and small 'old town'. Biger shops are 10 or so minutes drive away. Easy access. Good base for exploring the region in 50 km radius around the Avignon, which includes a good number of Provence's top destinations.

    Etienne was the perfect host and the house and its surroundings were lovely. Our room was spacious and airy, with a very comfortable bed. The location was perfect for visiting Avignon and surrounding villages, remote but accessible. Barbentane is very pretty. Very nice breakfast with Etienne changing the selection each day, pancakes, cakes, local sweet bread as well as the usual jams, yogurts, breads and croissants. Tres bien x

    The hotel was not too far from Avignon city, it was quiet and croissants were great! It had hair dyer, towels, shower gel, shampoo, walkin closet and water bottles. Breakfast for 12€ per person. The room was spacious, antique but well mainatined.

    The hotel is in a beautiful rural setting and has a lovely pool that we used during our stay There was no evening meal available but we were able to picnic in the lovely hotel garden. The hotel supplied plates knifes and forks.
