Excellent boutique hotel - beautiful, picturesque town (Barjac) with breathtaking views. Hotel was amazing - room sizes were spacious, clean and newly renovated. You are staying in a mini-chateau - very beautiful. Breakfast included locally sourced delicious pastries, organic fruit and yoghurt - amazing community. Host was very friendly, well-spoken in English and very informative about the traditions and customs of Barjac. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back there! This is a gem (both town and specifically the hotel!). Also there is a beautiful maine coon cat - the neighbourhood cat - who comes for a breakfast visit! :)

The location was lovely, and the amenities were wonderful (with a beautiful, refreshing swimming pool). Our hosts were also amazing and had very cute pets (one dog and one cat that we adored)! The breakfast was delicious and fresh too, our hosts had pet chickens so the eggs for breakfast couldn’t be any more fresh. We had a beautiful stay and just what we needed to relax after Kayaking all day. Thank you again!

    A beautiful town. Big Friday market. Wonderful views. Lots of restaurants. We went "off season" and most restaurants were open weekends only. Residents were friendly, lots of dog walkers out our street. We were there to visit La Ribaute, former residence and art installation of Anselm Kiefer.

    A very pretty place with a good number of options to eat/...

    A very pretty place with a good number of options to eat/drink - many still open in September. There are many well signposted gentle walking trails from the village centre. There is a well stcoked medium sized supermarket at entrance to village as well as variety of smaller shope in the village- butchers bakers pharmacy etc. Good place be based to explore region

    The village of Barjac was lovely. La Gourgille was absolutely exceptional. The room ( we stayed in the Africa suite, St Louis) was spacious and we lacked for nothing. Wonderful shower/ steam room. Unfortunately we were only staying for 1 night but we’ve put that right by booking for 7 nights next year. We also had the gourmet evening meal which was extra special. Bruno and Tamara went out of their way to ensure we had a fabulous stay - we were so sorry to have to leave and look forward to next year.

    Nice location. friendly staff, who speaks good english. (I miss the dog from last year) Very nice breakfast, with homemade jams and cakes. Very peaceful and secluded. Nice outdoor area around. For those who enjoy walking it's a nice 40 minute walk to Barjac (8 minutes drive)
