The gite is stunning, immaculate and perfect I'm every way. We only needed a nights stop on a route back to the UK from Spain. Somewhere to rest, shower, sleep and cook as well as being dog friendly. We have completed this journey twice a year over 6 years and have stayed in many accomodations. However this was most certainly our favourite by far and we hope to return.

We (a little family of 4) were delighted with our 1 night stay at Maison de Campagne. A beautiful calm place and the host is so kind. Breakfast was nice and we would certainly come back in case we were in the area again!

Francois and Morgane were super kind and friendly, they arranged for us to leave our bags after an early arrival which was much appreciated. The whole place was really clean and the beds were really comfortable, we slept really well.

    Beaulieu was really peaceful.

    Beaulieu was really peaceful. Sitting in the evening watching the butterflies, lizards, birds, and later on, bats, was lovely. We absolutely loved the lake. We were based on a quieter part, but drove a few times to rent a pedalo, a boat & to go on the assault course. They only take cash, but was very reasonably priced and the people were super friendly. The river off the lake is absolutely stunning. The local boulangerie was brilliant & again, very friendly.

    The food was excellent, the staff incredibly friendly and the location beautiful. It's quite remote and you'll need a car if you want a shop, but if it's peace and quiet you're after then the auberge at Beaulieu is ideal
