Though I arrived late, on a wet and miserable night, (the weather was awful: torrential rain throughout a 8 hour drive from northern Spain), there was a warm welcome at Madelon IV, & the hostess went out of her way to make me feel welcome.

Very nice apartment. Comfortable bed and the best shower cubicle we have had in Europe. Our host went over and above to make our stay memorable. We needed transportation which was organized for us even though there weren't any taxis. A big thank you to the staff member for driving us to where we needed to go. A highly recommended property set in a beautiful part of the town.

We stayed at the Manoir Bellerive in August and absolutely loved it from beginning to end. The room was spacious with very powerful aircon, great little fridge and wifi. Really comfy beds. Particularly loved the large swimming pool overlooking the Dordogne and the delightful grounds with exotic plants and lily ponds. The local area is great too - very convenient for shops / restaurants at Buisson de Cadouin and the amazing river beach. The highlight of the stay though has to be the very warm welcome and relaxed yet professional approach from Michele and the team. They are obviously putting 1000% into the whole operation and you can tell in the level of care which felt more like a 5 star boutique hotel. We definitely hope to return one day!

Fabienne is an exceptional host. The cottage is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. We chose to take our own bedding but there is an option to rent. The kitchen has everything you need including cloths, dishwasher tablets and every utensil you could need. The oven and microwave are exceptionally clean! Fabienne was there for any questions we needed.

    Lovely little village with charachter and nice shops, restaurants and places to stay. Close to the popular tourist attractions in the area. There was a festival going on in August so the ambience was terrific in the evening. Parking was no problem and getting around on foot was easy.

    We really liked this small pretty town with excellent views over the surrounding countryside. The safe narrow streets with artisan shops and the information boards on the town history were good. We ate at Planches and Plonc delicious and very friendly owners. We also enjoyed the vide grenier. We enjoyed the peacefulness being early season. Lots to do in the surrounding area if you like history ,architecture, food etc. Lots of hills if you are walking.

    Lovely typical French medieval village, quite small and very quiet when we were there, (end of May beginning June) Saturday market brought the village to life! Several nice restaurants. Ideal place to wander around the streets and the local countryside.

    Beautiful view from the bedroom and balcony, great outside space, very modern and spacious. Excellent WiFi. Very well equipped and lovely welcome package of wine, juice and biscuits. Easy parking in space at roadside or garage. Belves is a beautiful hilltop village and the apartment was within two minutes walk of the centre. Also a super municipal swimming pool with entry for just 2 Euros.

    sufficiently secluded, but not too far from Belves and Monpazier….other towns and villages all within east reach. David and Tracey were the perfect hosts, and Charlie the dog just adorable. will definitely be booking this again. The Dordogne is so beautiful.

    Beautiful setting within walking distance of Belves. Charming hosts and beautiful location. Continental breakfast was just right for us and the shower was very good. Bed extremely comfortable. Large room/suite.
