    Berck is the French equivalent of Great Yarmouth, a great big beach, stuff to do and loads of beachfront flip flop shops. Le Touquet down the road is much posher but Berk was friendly and very welcoming to families.

    We only stayed for one evening as a stop off back to the ferry. It’s not somewhere I would rush back to personally but it had a lovely beach. The restaurant we chose to eat at wasn’t great but that’s just luck of the draw I guess.

    Very interesting market on Wednesday.

    Very interesting market on Wednesday. We stayed in the 2nd week in September and found very few restaurants were open. They seem to have decided the season was over. I appreciate the holiday season in France generally ends on 15 September but it was rather a let down to see shops and restaurants shutting down before then.

    Its a cross between Blackpool & Benidorm. Did not like it in the slightest. Would never go back. Phoned restauurants to check they were open then when we got there they said we could have ice cream or crepes but full menu not available till later!

    Superb holiday town for family and children.

    Superb holiday town for family and children. Has all facilities for kids to enjoy. Beach amazing. Weather can be very windy which is only thing at times (based on our stay). Primarily French tourist so nice cultural experience also. Highly recommend.

    We went 11-13 June, the season was yet to get underway - I think a lot of things were opening the following weekend. This was good if you wanted a bit quieter, easier to get around, maybe not so good for full choice of restaurants, cafes, etc. The seal colony is a great spectacle and a lovely walk along the beach to get there.

    Travelling with my dog, the room was appropriately distant from too much activity (at the end of the corridor). The room was air conditioned, the staff very pleasant and helpful. It's in a quiet location but there's a large supermarket and several places to eat locally. The walk from the hotel location to the seafront is beautiful, with a separate cycle path. This is a great budget hotel with high standards of cleanliness that I'd love to visit again and stay more than one night.

    The breakfast was good plenty of choice. We had evening meal which was included in our stay, there was a difference in the value of the meal from what was on our booking info and what the hotel were allowing. Even their web site differed. Great location, plenty of parking, close to shops ect.

    Lovely clean room. It had just about everything we expected. The hotel was clean and reception staff was very helpful. Easy to park outside the hotel. It’s on a commercial estate with lots of big supermarkets and a lovely restaurant close by
