Beziers was interesting enough to spend one day there.
Beziers was interesting enough to spend one day there. There are lots of historical sights and the walk through Poets Park to Paul Riquet Bd. Is beautiful. This area is very clean and there are lots of seating areas on the boulevard. There is a beautiful shopping near the railway station with lots of indoor greenery. The cathedral was impressive.
The cathedral was impressive. The boat trip on the canal was very enjoyable. The trip through the locks and on the canal bridge was impressive. Beziers has been transformed over the last few years & the centre of town is fantastic. The trompe l'oeil around the town are amazing. There are lots of great restaurants - I went to Les Caves de la Madeleine which was wonderful. Le Petit Train is one of the best I have been on as it goes all the way to the neuf écluses & back. I stayed at the Prison Hotel which is a great experience & they welcomed my dog which is very important! I would highly recommend Beziers as a destination.Guest review byShirleyFrance - 10.0

Berziers is a beautiful city with lovely old buildings, shops and restaurants. Les Halles market was superb with the possibility of buying lunch to eat either inside or outside. Thomas met us at the gate and helped us so much with the questions about the local cafe, shop and the best way into the centre of Beziers. It is a very nice city with lots of beautiful buildings, fountains and gorgeous flowers in bloom and major improvements being carried out. Just 5 minutes walk across a lovely park. Also a short walk up the Allees into town with plenty of cafes nearby. It’s a simple traditional French hotel with a characterful atmosphere. (Don’t expect fancy!) The room was very basic but the bed was comfortable and the shower had plentiful hot water.
