Beziers is a beautiful city but it is very hilly.
Beziers is a beautiful city but it is very hilly. The historic city centre is at the top of the hill but the station is at the bottom so it's a steep climb with your luggage. The food market was voted the most beautiful in 2025 and is definitely worth a visit. There are several restaurants around the market and I can recommend La Johane. The food and the service were excellent. The cathedral is very imposing and, being at the top of the hill, gives a great view over the surrounding countryside. Beziers was interesting enough to spend one day there.
Beziers was interesting enough to spend one day there. There are lots of historical sights and the walk through Poets Park to Paul Riquet Bd. Is beautiful. This area is very clean and there are lots of seating areas on the boulevard. There is a beautiful shopping near the railway station with lots of indoor greenery. The cathedral was impressive.
The cathedral was impressive. The boat trip on the canal was very enjoyable. The trip through the locks and on the canal bridge was impressive. There were some great restaurants very near to where we stayed in the old part of town especially “La Table de Jean”.Guest review byJenniferAustralia

From being able to access our room at 11 in the morning, through a beautiful room with an exquisite view of the majestic gardens to the delicious omlettes as part of a scrumotious breakfast, everything was perfect for three days of R & R. I cannot recommend this establishment too highly. Stay there! The architectural concept of transforming an old prison into a hotel has been very well designed, in a contemporary creative, original, and luxurious way.
