An idyllic rural retreat very close to Brantome. The communal areas are spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was very generous and delicious. The bed is extremely comfortable. Most memorable about our stay was Anne and her mother Clo. They went so far out of their way to rescue us when our car broke down and did not rest until they had done everything possible to ensure our vehicles recovery and repair. We will be eternally grateful for that support from our guardian angels. We look to returning again soon. Extremely good value for money.

This hotel is glorious - beautiful views, incredible location right on the river, fabulous service, comfortable rooms. The restaurant, La Drona, is a must for dinner. The pool, garden and common areas are gorgeous. The staff were absolutely fabulous - so kind, friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.

    One of the prettiest places I have visited.

    One of the prettiest places I have visited. It looks like it came out of a fairytale. It was wonderful to walk around the village because everything look so pretty. It’s perfect for slow traveling. The products there didn’t seem overpriced, so we bought a lot of nice souvenirs.

    Brantome is an extremely picturesque small town and is a major attraction for tourists, particularly during high season. The varied shops and cafes provide opportunities to browse while the weekly market is a must-see if you are able to visit. The whole town is a network of small streets and bridges to explore with the river, parks and abbey providing photo opportunities at every turn. Visit the top floor of the abbey for spectacular views and an insight into the construction of the building. Great central location for touring the area.

    Brantôme is a lovely little town, great for a day trip or overnight stay. Very picturesque, with plenty to see and do. Good choice of restaurants but they fill up quickly so need to be booked fairly early in the day.

    The staff were super helpful and friendly, without exception. Great location on the river and on the island of Brantome. Good coffee, great terrace. There is no AC so when its 33C in the day, we were concerned about it being cool at night, surprisingly, it was ok
