Cabourg is a real holiday town and very popular.
Cabourg is a real holiday town and very popular. Consequently, it is very busy in August, so bear this in mind if you are not keen on crowds. There are numerous restaurants catering for a variety of tastes but you need to pre-book at the most popular ones, to avoid disappointment. The beach is big and wide and very clean. Very pretty and friendly town with beautiful flowers everywhere. Plenty of parking. Lovely Normandy architecture, lots of gorgeous shops, great bars and restaurants where the food never disappoints. Massive beaches with a 5km promenade where you can watch the sunset every night as they are more beautiful every night. The location could not be better - equidistant between the beach and shops/bars/restaurants (2 mins walk). We had no problem with parking.
