It was beautifully renovated, decorated and furnished and everything was provided that you could possibly want or need for a very comfortable stay. It was very clean and the owners Fred and Caroline were on hand to greet us and to deal with any queries. Champagnole is a good base from which to explore the Jura. Situated very close to main street where there is an excellent tourist info centre and a wonderful proper bookshop. Manager/receptionist helpful and friendly. Great value in an area of extreme prices! Hotel is simple and unpretentious. First impressions on entering are not good but room and excellent bathroom make up for it. Restaurant was lovely, had a really nice evening meal, didn't have breakfast so can't comment.
