Expected Colombiers with two gourmet restaurants and a canal side location to be bursting with cute boutiques in ancient lanes. There is an old part which is mainly residential and right next door a very ugly, very modern part which seems to be mostly medical facilities. The reception was friendly and helpful; we had the spacious attic room (only accessible by stairs) with welcoming air conditioning.
