The staff were friendly and very helpful. They gave us a good recommendation for an excellent restaurant within walking distance and information on visiting the old town. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was tasty and I loved the make your own fresh orange juice machine.

The location was perfect, central to everything, including the Information office, the castle, the town for sightseeing, shopping and dining. The garden is composed of many sitting areas that stretched out to an overlook of the castle and is a part of the original city walls. The photos on the website don’t do it justice. A variety of trees, plants, and flowers - the perfect place to relax with a beverage.

    We found Dinan to be a beautifully kept quiet and picturesque area just outside of the main tourist areas of Dinard and St Malo. There is an abundance of things to do and great opportunities to enjoy fine cuisine and an endless supply of magnificent wine and spirits. Road and rail connections are available nearby and its a great base to explore Brittainy. One of the most notable attractions is Mont Saint Michel, an abbey that has stood for more than 1000 years. There are hotels to suit all pockets in easy reach some of which are overlooking the beach. Dinan also has its own small airfield where a warm welcome awaits for Private pilots. It may also be possible to arrange a pleasure flight from where you could enjoy spectacular aerial views of the Norman and Brittainy coastlines.

    Dinan is a beautiful and authentically conserved medieval town bursting with character and full of excellent hospitality locations. Well worth a diversion to enjoy the surroundings and atmosphere of la belle France!

    The beautiful old houses & the interesting small shops.

    The beautiful old houses & the interesting small shops. We had some meals at a restaurant at the bottom of the street,. The mussels there were fantastic as was the cider. Generally the Breton gallettes were very interesting & well worth trying as were the crepes, of course. The port area was very attractive & I loved the surrounding countryside & the tree lined roads.

    We only stopped for one night on the way to SW Brittany.

    We only stopped for one night on the way to SW Brittany. We should have stayed longer as Dinan looked interesting. On our way out we managed to visit the ancient Abbey of Leon, just outside Dinan, which is definitely worth a visit if you like old architecture and history.

    Dinan is a beautiful town, particularly the old walled-city part (of course), and its location on the Rance is fantastic. By all means be sure to take at least a short walk along the river (though be prepared for a steep walk back up into the town!).

    A very good experience.

    A very good experience. Splendid old town with many interesting buildings, nice art shops, interesting castle and churches. Very helpful lady at the information office. Parking was convenient, about €15 per day.

    Very elegant property set in a private position. Samantha met us at the gate and was the most convivial host, as was her partner Phillipe. Very nice bedroom and the house was beautifully furnished. Samantha had pre booked us a restaurant in Dinan, The Cantorbery, which I can highly recommend. Lovely breakfast in the morning too. If I’m in the area again I’d definitely return to this hotel.

    Nicely designed room with a larger bathroom ( without a bath) which we preferred. Sheltered terrace near the pool. Great sound and light proofing. Breakfast was superb, both in choice and quality. Really great terrace where you could enjoy a drink overlooking the canal. It’s so close to the medieval old centre of Dinan which is the backdrop to this hotel.

    The property was perfectly located just outside of Dinan and super easy to find. Our hostess was gracious and very helpful, and the breakfast has been the best we have had in any B&B in France to date. The room was clean, with a lovely outlook over the forest, and quiet and private.

    The staff were very accommodating, especially the man who checked us in who was excellent, and the waiter at dinner, who spoke good English, was very helpful, informative and personable. The dinner was also the best food we had eaten in France for 2 weeks!

    Great location outdoor payable parking opposite which was perfect for our transporter van. Friendly staff, clean spacious room. Our dog was comfortable in the hotel too. We loved it and Dinard. Only regret is we wish we stayed another night.
