    Nice summer town with a lot of shops and restaurants. Beautiful views over the north and south bays from 'the rock' in the harbour. Unfortunately, it took 20 min to walk to the train station and there were no buses there.

    Granville is a lovely town, with lots to see.

    Granville is a lovely town, with lots to see. The old town near the Pont de Roc is a must see as it is very historical. The WW2 bunkers & gun emplacements are so interesting. A walk around the port give a good view of the town from the marina, which is lovely. The views & the beaches are stunning, in both directions, & there are lots of walking paths to follow.

    Granville is a village that is alive.

    Granville is a village that is alive. No tourist city like Saint Malo or Etretat. People live and work there - this gives the chance to experience the real Normandy. You can find exeptional food, and throughout friendly people.

    I have visited Granville on many occasions over the last few...

    I have visited Granville on many occasions over the last few decades. There is quiet a lot to do/see.There is the Christian Dior museum to visit. On this occasion I did not eat in any establishment,as I was taking part in the twinning games & we were catered for by the organisers. Everything is virtually within walking distance.There is a bus service.

    Great atmosphere with lots going on.

    Great atmosphere with lots going on. Should have had covered seating!! it was over 30, and very hot in the Sun. Unfortunately we got to the Budget Ibis out of town at gone 12 midnight, hot and sweaty after a full day in over 30 degrees, only to find in our room the rubbish bin full, used mugs on the sink and NO TOWELS. The next morning there were no Busses to town!! and the receptionist could not find a Taxi to take us to town? ?

    Granville lived up to its reputation as ‘the Monaco of the...

    Granville lived up to its reputation as ‘the Monaco of the North’. Underrated in my view. Really pretty, plenty of shops, restaurants, history and stunning sea views and walks. Was a great location to visit Mont St Michel from too and easy to get to and from the Cherbourg ferryport.

    We stayed in a suite for eight nights. The suite was one of six, in a separate block to the main hotel. The suite was modern, comfortable, air conditioned, with a roomy shower-room and adequate kitchenette. The hotel has good car-parking, a lock-up for bicycles and, for an additional charge, a basic but good breakfast. There is a grocery, a boulangerie and a pizza outlet all within a a few minutes walk. The staff were really excellent. Welcoming and very helpful.

    A superb location, in a lovely room with a view over the Yacht Harbour. The breakfast is exceptional with a very good choice of everything, & the all the staff are very friendly. Parking is good, right outside the hotel, on the harbour. The food in the restaurant is very good, or you can eat on the terrace, weather permitting. It's a place we love to stay in & we are always sorry to leave.

    Parking is no good as it’s opposite the busy railway station & everywhere is full of cars parked, it’s only normal parking in the road. If you have a car may be sensible to book another hotel with secure parking…..car spaces near the hotel are rare.
