Friendliness of the hosts. Nice and cosy place. We stayed in the ‘Chic’ room which had all the comfort and necessities. Possibility to dinner at the venue is a plus.

We’ve stayed here numerous times which speaks for itself. The rooms are compact but comfortable with good beds and nice bathrooms, lovely shower. Excellent soundproofing from the busy roads. Very good food, friendly buzz in the restaurant and the three brothers who run the place are extremely helpful and friendly. Very good breakfast coffee. A shame must to stay one night while passing through - the surrounding country is beautiful with many interesting and historic buildings

The staff were extremely nice and welcoming! Rida was so absolutely lovely! They were the nicest of all of France! The room was exquisite. The restoration of the castle was incredible. This was my favorite castle experience in all of france and I can’t wait to go back! 10/10

Its a perfrct home away from home, although we only stayed 1 night en route, the environment is beautiful and tranquil. everything is perfectly clean and designed for our comfort, the property is beautiful. A worryfree night and well charged for the road ahead.

    Hérisson is a delightful little town, snuggled inside its walls, in a bend of the river with a ruined castle at the top. Picturesque winding lanes between the old houses. Few shops but cafés, a restaurant, distillery, antiques and a gallery. Probably more lively in summer. Good walks, fishing.
