All was good but especially the bar/restaurant. Not a fine dining establishment but good food and at a reasonable price. Confirmed by the large number of non hotel guests using it. When possible book the table in advance (just by the morning the same day). If not possible the staff are extremely helpful and creative in finding you a table.

We decided on this hotel at the last minute, because after a complication with another accommodation, we needed accommodation for a few days at that moment.. The hotel is a bit more expensive, but, we do not regret that we decided on this hotel. The rooms are newer, spacious and clean. A hotel in a great location, close to the beaches of Normandy - Omaha, Utah, Juno... and close to all the attractions, close to the city of Bayeun and of course just a stone's throw from Caen. Breakfast was great! At breakfast, there was fresh, still warm bread and several types of baked goods. A coffee machine is also available free of charge throughout the day, as well as lemonade and water.

    Could not walk between the twin beds as the gap was too...

    Could not walk between the twin beds as the gap was too small. Toilet was dirty. Only one tea bag and one capsule of milk and one sugar for a room booked for 2 people. One of the connecting doors to the neighbouring room was insecure. The restaurant is only open on 4 days of the week and not at weekends. Cannot believe this was a 3 star hotel. Should definitely lose that status. Worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Will never book a Kyriad again.

    Only there for one night before getting car ferry next...

    Only there for one night before getting car ferry next morning, so cannot comment on local attractions. However the Royal Wok was a great place to eat within walking distance, eat in or take away. Also large supermarket very close.

    There is free parking.

    There is free parking. The tram is a 10 mins drive away where there is free street parking in the area. The trams are very regular, so very handy to get in & out of town. 1.5 € per hour irrespective of number of journeys

    We arrived hours earlier than we had expected but the staff booked us in without a problem, checking the room was suitable for our needs. This is the perfect comfortable and well located hotel for travellers using the ferry. We stay here at least 4 times every year.

    I have often used this hotel, ever since it was a Campanile. It's always a good experience and the staff are friendly and efficient. Beds are comfortable and rooms are warm and inviting.
