Excellent town to base yourself for 3-5 days. Wandering around town in cafes, shops and restaurants along the canals. Cycle hire recommended for a day trip out to the countryside. A really pretty little town on the river with plenty of restaurants, shops and a couple of busy weekly markets to explore. There are a lot of antiques stores to see in the town, if that is your interest, but parking spaces seem to fill up quite quickly on the days we were there. We had a lovely bedroom & bathroom & separate walk-in wardrobe, so plenty of room. Very good breakfast. We did not dine at the hotel but at their other restaurant Cafe Fleurs which was very good.
