La Farlede was quiet and peaceful.
La Farlede was quiet and peaceful. There were quite a few places to eat and drink as well as take aways. The town has two supermarkets (Lidl and Intermarche) and is a traditional French town which was lovely. Very few British tourists (we were the only Brits there - which was perfect for us). The locals were very friendly and welcoming and didn’t laugh at us butchering our GCSE French from 30 years ago! … although they appreciated our efforts. The funniest time was when a cashier at Gifi said “what do you want” in response to my question posed in my best French. A car is a must as it is quite remote and some distance (1hr 20) from international airports of Marseille and Nice. As we drove down from Le Shuttle and the rest of our family flew, we would probably look to stay slightly closer to Nice or Marseille next time.Guest review byDarrenUnited Kingdom
