The hotel/bar/resto was most accomdating as we 3 cyclists arrived. Problem: it was on a French national holiday. Most local restos were closed as was their kitchen so they kindly offered us an excellent cheese and salad evening meal. Perfect! After cycling n Km we just needed beer, bread and salad. With that we were off to their really good bedrooms and, in the morning to a good breakfast

The hotel is in a very nice old historical building. It was amazing to read the history of this ancient residence started from the XIII century in the hotel book. We lived on the top attic floor, which we climbed up by magic internal compact spiral staircase that looked like an attached tower from the outside. There is a large parking lot behind the house where we put our car and very nice breakfast in the restaurant in the nearest building. The location turned out to be really very convenient for visiting castles. We visited 5 castles in 3 days :) The room had a bath and everything you need, even a teapot for evening tea after trips and heaters which is important for cold period. It was also ideal for us from the number of beds point of view, usually, it is very hard to find satisfactory rooms in hotels. So we really liked the hotel and the details of its history are just what you expect from heart of France. Thank you for a good vacation!

The hotel was a beautiful old building, with lots of original features and charming decor. The bathroom facilities and equipment in the room were modern. The location is superb, right in the heart of the town with direct access to several car parks and all the town's amenities. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh, with great coffee. The hotel was spotless and all the staff were very friendly.

The two ladies who looked after us pm and am were lovely and helpful. Nice breakfast which was topped up as required. Good location for a trip to see Chinon and tbe area and to travel further south.

    A family run country hotel in a lovely peaceful location. The restaurant offers a home cooked, seasonal menu with local (Loire valley) wines. Comfortable rooms (if a little small), with tea/coffee and a small balcony. Good access to Peage for travel to/from Caen. Our dog was welcome (charge 12 euros) and had the run of the substantial grounds.

    The room design, with the balcony maximizing the views. The peaceful location - we slept really well. The friendly and engaged staff. The breakfast and evening meal: there are no other options very close to the hotel so we were very happy to have a menu with enough variety for the two nights we stayed.

    This is a very nice little hotel in a fine location. Helpful friendly staff. The breakfastwas good and as a group we always overstayed the breakfast timings but were never pressured to move, quite the opposite.
