    Very scenic and atmospheric; walk along the river and up in the car-free streets. Great restaurants, La Belle Etoile best meal on our trip to France. Great place to bike, canoe, kayak or take a boat trip.

    For the price this hotel is excellent, basic rooms but very clean with fan, hair dryer and dressing table. Fabulous views over the river and right in the centre. Good breakfast. Would definitely stay again. A meal at Au Chalet Gourmand just up the river is a must ***** plus a river trip and the gardens at Marqueyssac.

    Hidden gem. Almost hesitant to give it a good review because no doubt prices will skyrocket next season. They act as a hotel d’etappe, but you can easily spend a week here to explore the region. Which I did. Staff are friendly, pools (!) are perfect, grounds extremely well kept. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. All in all a bit thumbs up from me and I will return.

    The gardens full of roses were beautiful and the buildings authentic. The location for cyclists was good although there were some busy roads to negotiate before getting on to the cycle paths. It is possible to walk to a canoeing area and hotels with restaurants. The ferme was interesting and appealed to French visitors.

    Beautifully presented property with very good facilities. The hosts were absolutely lovely, making sure I had everything I needed from the moment I arrived. The property is in a stunning location just a stone’s throw from La Roque-Gageac with incredible views.
