    Laruns is a charming village in the Ossau valley.

    Laruns is a charming village in the Ossau valley. It's an ideal base for exploring the Béarn area of the Pyrenees, and a centre for many outdoor activities, and has a good selection of eateries. We went there for the petit train d'Artouste and a stage of the tour de France, and discovered a gem, to which we will be returning.

    It was an adventure trip in deep winter, so we expected some road setbacks. I imagine great views in the summer too. Actually I booked this for my daughter, Gabriela. I was not there personally. And I am reflecting her reviews ( sent questions to her )and I am posting her answers.

    The location is super and close to the hiking place. I was alone but they stay offer me a room that is big enough to house 4 pax. The apartment is well equipped and have cooking facilities. So do come with all teh groceries that you need as there is no amenities around the hotel. In the review it stated there is a tapas bar below, however it was not opened when i was there. As i was travelling alone, cooking is not the choice for me. Luckily there is a restaurant nearby, which solve my meal issue.

    The breakfast was adequate and staff were helpful. The central location was excellent, although parking was a little way away in a public but free car park. The room was spacious and comfortable. Having a desk was helpful. I was able to walk out of the door and be in pleasant out of town surroundings within a few minutes. It was even possible to get into the mountains on foot from the hotel.

    The apartment was located in a block about 200m from the center of Laruns. Good view from the balcony of the village and surrounding countryside. Our host was helpful in providing access at the time we wanted even though he was not personally available. The major appliances were new and in good condition.

    Our expectations were exceeded by this hotel. The room was spacious, had everything you'd need, also a balcony. The food is absolutely delicious with 3 options for starter and 3 for main (dinner) and the personel being very attentive to our needs. Would definitely go back!
