Very well equipped room, lovely and clean. Very close to the square with bars and restaurants. Breakfast was amazing. Would highly recommend this place.

Jayne and Paul are the perfect hosts. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable but not intrusive on your stay. Le Sellarie at No17 are 2 gites adjoining the owners home. 1 x 1 bed, and 1 x 2 bed gite. We stayed in the 1 bed which was beautiful and had been done to such a high standard. We were lucky enough to be the only ones staying, so Jayne kindly showed us around the 2 bed gite, as we will very likely be back in the future. They have done a stunning job. Each gite has it's own area to dine and relax so we would have no issue booking if others were staying. The grounds are more than big enough to find your own space. The pool was wonderful! Clean, well maintained and so welcome in the sunshine, of which there was plenty. We loved it so much that we decided to stay another night (unplanned). We were lucky our gite was free. This property and experience is fantastic value for money. The town of Le Dorat has a train station, so easy to get to and the town is steeped in history. We were driving around the area, so visited many sites nearby. Supermarket nearby as well.

Beautiful spacious gite and garden. Very nice hosts. Good parkingplace. We were lucky to have the gite to ourselves, but even if there would have been another couple in the other bedroom, we would have liked it as much as now. It is al so nicely done.Very comfortable place, good bed, nice bathroom with good shower. Everything you need and more. And last but not least: very good breakfast. Would love to stay again when in the neighborhood. Very good value for money!

Really well located apartment within a few minutes walk of the centre of La Dorat. The apartment is very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Fi and Mick are great hosts and full of useful information about the area, and the garden is gorgeous, perfect for unwinding over a couple of beers or a glass or two of wine. We had a great stay - thank you!

Rustic, comfortable, beautiful, clean.... I could carry on but I will say, we stayed 2 nights as we're touring on motorbike but we would've stayed longer. The family are lovely and the animals 😘 the experience with the bird of pray will stay with us plus the knowledge. We would definitely recommend this hotel with the bird of prey experience to anyone, we are thinking of popping over in the car to do a longer stay in the future 😀

The location suited us perfectly. Quiet and rural. The host was lovely, we don’t speak much French and he no English but we got everything we needed. The closest village Le Dorat is about 3kms away and not a lot of food options so prepare in advance to cook at the studio or book a restaurant or go to Bellac. The La Petite Fontaine bar in Le Dorat was very welcoming. It has new English speaking owners who were renovating but will be doing meals soon.

    A fantastic typical,quaint,historical,French village. A warm welcome from our English hosts and a warm welcome from the local French people. Lots of historical plaques and facts dotted around the village. A beautiful square to sit around with a cool drink or coffee on a warm French day.

    Le Dorat is a beautiful town to explore with interesting church, medieval walls and buildings. It has great transport links by road and rail. It has a wonderful slower pace of life to relax and switch off

    Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 1712 Villacarre. The owners have done an amazing job in bringing this lovely townhouse right up to date while leaving a lot of the french charm. Everything you need for your stay is provided and of a very high standard. Great location in the centre of Le Dorat with all amenities close to hand. Plenty of places to visit within a short drive and gorgeous countryside for those who fancy a good walk. Will definitely book again and next time stay a bit longer.

    This is an exceptional property set in a beautiful part of France. The chateau has been tastefully furnished and would make an excellent base for a longer stay in the area of Le Dorat. The hosts/ owners did everything they could to make our stay memorable. I travelled here with my wife for a long weekend and would, without hesitation, return for an even longer stay. Thank you Adam and David.

    Great 1 bedroom apartment, kitchen shower room and lounge well equipped and tidy. Shared courtyard outside then large garden with a variety of comfy seats and tables. Short walk into Le Dorat and 5 metres away from Vieux Cidre who do great food for lunch and evening drinks
