Perfect stay in the middle of the forest! Lovely hosts with lots of information to share, and very helpful. We had our dog with us and they were quite welcoming of him too. Comfortable room, good mattress and pillows (important!) and generous breakfast. Highly recommend this chambre d’hôte for a relaxing and peaceful séjour.

Great hotel in a very quiet valley. Easy to find but don’t follow your satnav unless you want to drive on some very narrow roads - instead take the D57 south form Remiremont. There is ample free car parking available. The staff are excellent and speak very good English. The rooms are very large, clean, very quiet, comfortable and well appointed, although a little tired but it wouldn’t stop us staying again. The restaurant menu was limited to just 2 main dishes and our visit, however the food was excellent and very well priced.

    The southern Vosges mountains are somewhat remote for UK...

    The southern Vosges mountains are somewhat remote for UK visitors to France and we stayed there only because we were en route for Austria. However, the rolling wooded hills are very attractive and the view from the top of Balon d'Alsace, the highest peak in the area which is an easy 15 minute walk from several carparks, is absolutely stunning. We explored the 2022 Tour de France stage from Le Thillot to Le Planche des Belles Filles of the 2022 TdF. There seem to be lots of enticing trails in the woods and we saw a large number of cyclists. This is hill country rather than mountainous as found in the Alps and Pyrenees.

    The hotel looks nice, but they don't tell you that you don't stay in the hotel, but in a run-down building away from the hotel. The breakfast, when you are allowed into the hotel, is nice.
