We loved this hotel for a host of different reasons. We’re cycling in a heatwave so the air conditioned room felt wonderful. It was clean, comfortable with a big sliding door opening onto the garden. I think all rooms have this. The pool was large and clean and the lake was beautiful. We had a great meal there as well. But the biggest plus we want to give is the fact that my husband left his credit cards there. He realised about 30 minutes into our uphill cycle ride and we didn’t want to turn back. So we called and the wonderful owner picked up his cards and drove to meet us in a nearby town. Wow. She was exceptionally kind. We liked her vivacity anyway, and this was that extra step not make would make.

It is a delightful place to stay, very private, quiet, clean and comfortable. Very easy to check in. Staff are fabulous and very accommodating. Bed very comfortable. So lovely to sleep under the stars. Loved the delivery of the breakfast. Can highly recommend a stay here. Thank you!

    We went for the track and spent an afternoon on the Lac...

    We went for the track and spent an afternoon on the Lac where they have water sports and a nice little snack on the edge. For food it is a bit tricky during our time there 22-24/08/23 Not much is open there was one restaurant open doing pizza (eat in or takeaway) steak and chips etc not a big menu but at least you can eat something not too for from the track.

    Keri and Alistair are warm and friendly hosts and they provided some lovely touches during our stay. The 3 course dinner and breakfast were amazing, homemade, tasty and they were able to fully accommodate my husband's gluten intolerance, which we greatly appreciated. The bed and bedding were top hotel standard - comfortable and pressed white. The room was nice and the in room cafetiere and equipment were very nice. Great shower and nice toiletries. All in all we loved it and highly recommend it.

    Friendly attentive and welcoming. I have done the st Malo to nice cycling tour 10 times so stayed in a variety of hotels gites and chambres d hôtes. For me it is part of the experience and never knowing what to expect. Staying at le vigeant with Alastair and Rosi was probably one of the best . It was a real pleasure and the food was outstanding. My partner and I are vegetarians and the food delivered was exactly to our taste and what we eat at home - only much much better!!! Highly recommended
