Location superb in a beautiful village. Made to feel very welcome by all we met. The food was excellent and the host ensured all our needs were addressed. The rooms are modern, bright and clean. The decor is maintained and fresh and the beds comfortable, with good quality sheets pillows and blankets. We will definitely be back and can not recommend this hotel highly enough. It is busy but, very efficient, and well run. If eating, the menu is varied and freshly prepared, with local produce and specialties. I'd recommend anything with mushrooms or chestnuts. I would also suggest booking, to avoid disappointment, remember it is popular place for a reason, and built up it's reputation over many years.

I received a phone call from the host as I finally reached the top of my long climb into the Ardèche during a long distance cycle race. Enquiring as to when I would arrive. I explained my fatigue and that it might take some time. I was assured that this was not a problem. On arrival I was greeted very warmly, shown my room and invited to dine too. During my whole 9 day, 2700km trip this was the only time I felt I just had to stay for breakfast, so kind were my hosts. The location is truly spectacular. By night the sense of peace and tranquility is extraordinary.

Wonderful to find good accommodation that welcomed my dog with the additional bonus of a truly exceptional evening meal. A very individual yet classy style in a traditional French stone house in the middle of the Ardèche area. Very uncomplicated and super friendly staff, and the restaurant serves ingenious and delicious food (dinner & breakfast) in a distinctly French style environment: warm atmosphere, unobtrusive music, sympathetic guests. Plus, the hotel has a sauna and whirlpool for recreation. All was perfect, it feels like home. We are experienced travellers and see a lot of hotels - this is a top pick. We were surprised to find an ambiente this perfect in this charming little village of Montpezat.

It's a fabulous setting way up a tiny road above the village. The family are wonderful...3 kids ,one beautiful friendly dog and cats. It's the back to nature dream. There's a little stream just below and trees trees trees. Food is superb, prepared by Batiste. Bed was comfortable.

Beautiful little Chalet would highly recommend this place if you want to get away from it all. Very relaxing the host was lovely and very helpful, nearest supermarket is around 20 minutes and the ride/ drive is stunning.

My room was modern and spacious within a 19C high street hotel Guests need to be able to climb up and down stairs easily The staff were helpful and made a reservation for me at a nearby restaurant - which was excellent. Dinner was not served on site when I stayed. Breakfast was on site & very good
