Known as ‘The Pearl of France’, the city of Menton is located on the French Riviera near the Italian border. Overlooking the blue Mediterranean waters, this destination has colourful houses with red roofs, golden beaches and a harbour with fishing boats and yachts.

Menton is beautiful.
Menton is beautiful. A perfect stop along a fab coastline of towns and villages both in France and over the border in Italy. The town itself is buzzing with cafes, shops and restaurants. The old world charm of the town remains and it isn't over- commercialised. Beaches are lovely, with warm, clear water, mind the stony sand though. The area felt unspolit. An ideal spot to base yourself to travel around the regions, close to Nice airport, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco and Italy. Public transport was fine, trains and Ubers, local buses were infrequent. We loved The New Bar on the pier, a basic pub with music and friendly staff. Menton is hilly, especially around Menton Garavan (port area) so avoid if you've mobility issues or young children, better to locate in the town itself. Recommend a sunrise swim, beautiful to see the sun rise and reach the Basicilica St Michael, a must visit tourist site.Guest review bymaeveIreland - 10.0

It was right in the middle of some of the best places in Europe. Quick and easy trip to towns and cities along the Italian Riviera, Milan and of course Nice and Monaco. We discovered Menton 5 years ago and since then every summer we come back. It's a little gem of the Côte d'Azur ideally located, with ideal transport links to all the best places to visit both in Italy and France.Trains are fast, comfortable, very frequent and not too expensive. The sea is cristalline, beaches are clean not too crowded. The Promenades is just spectacular, completely equipped for all activities, with drinking fountains, wooden deck chairs for sunbathing, gazebos for relaxing with artificial fog during the hottest hours, many slides and equipment for children, in the evening there are concerts, fireworks, air shows.The main street of shopping and restaurants, pizzerias and ice cream parlors is simply mind-blowing. Absolutely to try Gelateria Sofia, pizzeria Vesuvio, Osteria da Carlo, restaurant Leone, for food shopping -supermarkets Casino and Carrefour City.The hospitality of the locals, the climate, the food, the sea and the air make this city an incredibly attractive place for a family (and not only) holiday.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

A beautiful, unspoilt Italianate Mediterrean seaside town nestled between the sea and the mountains. Citrus trees line the streets. Many gardens to visit and walk in. Not dominated by high rise buildings and no bad behaviour witnessed during our stay. We had previously stayed in Menton but not at this hotel. We loved it. Wonderful, friendly staff. The cleaning lady was fantastic and so lovely. One of the cleanest hotels we have stayed in. Breakfast was great. Good options. Better than expected. Super little bar. Good outdoor space. Nice size balcony facing the mountains. Of course, the best part is how close it is to the sea. I stayed in a room with a view of the sea and it was really lovely to have a small balcony.
