Mèze is a small town on the Etang de Thau, a lagoon famous for its shellfish. One can eat very well in the town. In the season it is possible to hire a small boat or take an outing on the Etang. The hotel is next to the town's little marina, which is very pretty. There are several restaurants within walking distance. The staff were friendly and approachable. The breakfast was good. The value for money was outstanding. We had booked one night initially but we added a night at the same price, as we felt the need of a rest before travelling on.
