The room was spacious, incredibly comfortable and stylish. Berenice and clement went out of their way to help us, for example in finding a local garage and booking dinner for us. The breakfast was delicious and the family incredibly friendly. we loved the dog!

it was situated in a beautiful garden, surrounded by trees and grass and flowers. The bed was king size and very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and there were many towels which was nice.

We are travelling in France by public transport and it is not too far from the bus stop. The rooms are comfortable. The restaurant on site is excellent and good value. We needed some taxis for some excursions into the Battle fields which the hotel organised and both times arrived promptly . Bapaume is right in the middle of the country where there are most of the monuments and cemeteries from the first world war. It is an excellent hotel in which to base your trip.

Karen and Bart were very friendly, helpful, humorous and knowledgeable hosts. Genuine interest in the story of my Great Uncle, missing in action on the first day of the Battle of the Somme 1916. I learnt a lot on my brief visit and remain grateful, a lot more than just a place to stay.

Nice apartment with 2 big bedrooms. Building is set in quiet village surrounded by large gardens. Owners were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really copious with toast, home made cake, juice, petit pains au chocolat, croissants, coffee/tea

I was traveling alone through Europe, and needed a place to rest between Bruges and Paris. That’s when I chose to stay at Alain’s home. As a Japanese traveler who doesn’t speak any French, I was initially worried, but Alain assured me that using a translation app would be enough—and he actively communicated with me. In the end, we were truly able to get to know each other. There are no words to describe my stay other than “comfortable.” The house has a clean kitchen and dining area, a spacious garden, a private room with a large bed, and even a training room. The bathroom includes both a bathtub and a shower. Alain prepared water for me, brought a fan into the room when it was hot, and even set up a tent outside so I could enjoy eating outdoors. Playing the Tower of Hanoi, learning chess, and having matches on his iPad—all of it became a wonderful memory. Meals are available for €10, but he’s very flexible if you prefer to cook or eat on your own. Staying here truly felt like being back at my parents’ home. I hope you’ll enjoy the same peaceful time.

    Great idea to take basic items like milk etc as the nearest...

    Great idea to take basic items like milk etc as the nearest shop is not open until very late and only has a limited range of foods/drinks. The location of the house in the countryside that formed the backdrop to the battles of the Somme in WW1 makes it ideal for a holiday exploring the memorials and museums of this aspect of history. Miraumont is easily reached by roads from the motorway and national routes as well as the regional roads. The village is served a rail link to Arras and beyond.

    Miraumont is very well situated, especially for anyone...

    Miraumont is very well situated, especially for anyone visiting the battlefields, cemeteries and memorials of The Somme. It has a small supermarket with convenient opening hours. We didn't find any bars or restaurants within the village.
