This is a rather quirky hotel but very close to where we finished our walk for the day so we were glad we didn’t have to walk too far to find it. very congenial manager. we arrived during siesta but he was able to show us our room etc. The room had an en suite shower/toilet and a little kitchenette which was really convenient for us as we had camping food to use up so saved on eating out. But we couldn’t resist the ice creams at the local pizza restaurant - Pizzeria Julie just around the corner.

It is a nice, charming hotel and very good value. We stayed a Friday night and the market the next morning (a 3 minute walk away) was wonderful. We had breakfast out, but the breakfast room in the hotel looked wonderful, and even had a little terrace. The hostess did not speak much English, but we managed to communicate and she was helpful and charming. And they are also pet friendly, which was a key factor for us.

    We simply loved this property and the owners!

    We simply loved this property and the owners! The house had everything you could ask for for a stay as a couple or small family (we were a family of 4)! We pool was amazing and the views from the pool and terrace were spectacular! Finally, Montbolo is a lovely village and the small restaurant is a delight! Everyone is extremely friendly and it was a joy to visit!
